Taxonomy
Oecophylla bartoniana was named by Cockerell (1920). It is not extant. Its type specimen is British Museum In. 19036. Its type locality is Bagshot Beds, Bournemouth (BMNH), which is in a Lutetian pond claystone in the Poole Formation of the United Kingdom.
