Taxonomy
Dasyhelea miocaenica was named by Szadziewski (1993). Its type specimen is MKC K-15, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Bitterfeld amber (Kutscher Gottingen collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Germany.
