Taxonomy
Thaumatodryinus fuscescens was named by Martins and Melo (2020). Its type specimen is DZUP Dom-018, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber, La Toca (DZUP coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
