Taxonomy
Cinetus breviscapus was named by Brazidec and Vilhelmsen (2022). Its type specimen is NHMD-300622, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Ernst and Nordmann collection, NHMD), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
