It was Archegonus (Geigibole) by Brauckmann (1973); it was Pseudowaribole (Geigibole) by Hahn and Brauckmann (1988); it was reranked as Geigibole by Basse and Lemke (2020) and Müller and Hahn (2022).

It was assigned to Cyrtosymbole by Gandl (1968); to Archegonus by Brauckmann (1973); to Pseudowaribole by Hahn and Brauckmann (1988); and to Weaniinae by Basse and Lemke (2020) and Müller and Hahn (2022).
