Percrocuta hebeiensis
Taxonomy
Percrocuta hebeiensis was named by Chen and Wu (1976). Its type specimen is IVPP V4830 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jiulongkou, Ci Xian County, which is in a Miocene terrestrial claystone/sandstone in China.

G. Chen and W. Wu 1976 | A small Percrocuta; the mandibular symphysis is comparatively steep, the chin is prominent; there are two mandibular foramina below lower P2 and lower P3. Lower premolars are oval in shape, the crowns are high and broad, but more slender than those of P. tungurensis; protoconid (zhujian = main cusp) high, parastylid and metastylid are equally developed; lower P3 relatively slender and small. |
