Acrosmilia elongata
Taxonomy
Acrosmilia elongata was named by d'Orbigny (1850). Its type specimen is lectotype MNHN.F.B12740, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jhirk, Sind, Pakistan, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian reef, buildup or bioherm horizon in Pakistan.
It was recombined as Trochosmilia elongata by Reuss (1854), Milne-Edwards and Haime (1857), de Fromentel (1861).
