Tibialobracon laevis was named by Chen and van Achterberg (2023). Its type specimen is SYSBM En-420878, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (SYSU collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
