Type specimen: MFM-P1101, a partial skull. Its type locality is Kitakoyama boulder, which is in a Pliocene fluvial-lacustrine siltstone in the Kameyama Formation of Japan.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore

Distribution: found only at Kitakoyama boulder
