Diplodocimorpha was named by Calvo and Salgado (1995). It is not extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Diplodocoidea by Wilson and Sereno (1998).
It was assigned to Sauropoda by Calvo and Salgado (1995); to Diplodocoidea by Salgado et al. (2004), Taylor and Naish (2005), Salgado et al. (2006) and Apesteguía (2007); and to Diplodocoidea by Tschopp et al. (2015) and Mannion et al. (2019).
It was synonymized subjectively with Diplodocoidea by Wilson and Sereno (1998).
