Squalodon imperator
Taxonomy
Squalodon imperator was named by Cigala-Fulgosi and Pilleri (1985). Its type specimen is FCF 14, a tooth (premolar tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Visiano, which is in a Serravallian marine sandstone/siltstone in the Salsomaggiore Formation of Italy.
